Santa Clara County, California outlaws toy handouts with happy meals
The law “prevents restaurants from preying on children’s’ love of toys,” Supervisor Ken Yeager tells the Los Angeles Times. “This ordinance breaks the link between unhealthy food and prizes.”

I think this is a great idea. When I was a kid, I would bug the shit out of my parents to get me Happy Meals, especially when they had particularly desirable prizes, which were often linked to upcoming Disney movies.
In retrospect, it’s pretty twisted how much their marketing got into my young brain to encourage me to eat garbage.
